Tomahawk—Anonymous

Tomahawk: Anonymous

Tomahawk just put out their latest album, Anonymous. Admittedly, I was a little apprehensive when I first heard this album. It does not sound like what you’d come to expect from Mike and the gang. Instead of mind blowing, crazy tracks full of screeching vocals, Anonymous is like a new age chant album for rock fans.

Bjork—Volta

Bjork: Volta

In a word, I love this album. This is the Bjork album that I have been waiting for ever since I heard her uber sleeper Verspertine. It nice to hear Bjork recapturing the sound that made her such a success. While I can’t say that I didn’t enjoy her more recent albums, Vespertine, Medulla and Drawing Restraint 9, they just didn’t have the vitality of her past albums. With Volta Bjork has brought the excitement back to table.

Gallery Updates 06-14

I added a couple of pieces to the Gallery. First off in the Web Design section is Cascades Humane Society. These folk were great to work with, they had clear ideas of what they wanted, while still allowing me some creative freedom. Notice that sweet little puppy at the top of the page, who could that be other than Mister P.T. himself. Check out www.cascadeshumanesociety.org and learn what they are doing to help the animals in Jackson Michigan.

Marilyn Manson—Eat Me, Drink Me

Marilyn Manson: Eat Me, Drink Me

I’ve been a huge Manson fan ever since I heard Portrait of an American Family back in Junior High, in my eyes every album has been great in it’s own way. This is why I was stoked to his new album Eat Me, Drink Me. That excitement soon turned into a general state of malaise. Seriously, this is the worst album that Marilyn Manson has put out so far.
